its wonderful, yoiu can get rid of comcast cox or any thing else and replace it with Sling TV and Roku 4

My husband and I decided to cancel our cable and try the roku 4. We are very satisfied! Lots of things for our baby to watch and many choices for us. Only downfall is having to put in a cable provider to watch certain things. Love our roku!

No so good upscaling

I bought the Roku 4 to replace my Roku 3 now that I have an LG OLED 4K set. I noticed that when I play any movie, on either the Roku 3 or 4, I was getting a very weird banding/posterizing effect that was quite annoying. The same movie played off the blu ray was pretty much perfect. I hoped the increased performance of the Roku 4 would resolve the issue but it didn't. I eventually looked on the web to see how to turn off the Roku upscaling and set the preferences to view 1080p content and let the television perform the upscaling. Huge and noticeably improvement. So the Roku 4 should probably not be purchased for its upscaling capabilities because it makes tradeoffs in the color depth that are unacceptable.

Haven't had it for too long or used it a whole lot because of traveling, but I initially rate it excellent because it is so very easy for a technology challenged old fella like me to replace my old Roku 2 and install this new one. If I can do it easily, anyone can. One thing though...a lot of accounts permanently set up and used often with my Roku 2 (like Netflix and Amazon videos and music) will transfer w/o problem to the Roku 4 BUT will require reactivation, which can be a bit of a hassle. Not the fault of Roku 4, but still needs to be pointed out.

Very Fast

I like my Roku 4 because it boots up faster to steam Netflix video than my Blue-ray player and my not so smart -smart TV.

Fast and easy install

I was using one of the first Roku streaming devises. It still worked but it had no bells and whistles so I decided to step up and purchase the Roku 4. It was very easy to instill, unlike the first one, fast and has the voice search feature which really saves time! All and all, a win win!

I bought Roku 4 because my other Roku didn't perform properly. It did not last as long as I had hoped for. Just another added expense while trying hard to save money.

A Good Decision

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty much easy to setup. Was able to add several channels, but not all I wanted. I traveled with the Roku4 and it was great to access channels in the room instead of paying for premium movies or to watch our own movie library.
