Almost perfect

I recently purchased a Roku 4 as a cable replacement. Overall, I'm happy with the product. The user interface is beautiful and intuitive and the selection of apps is among the best I've seen. My only issue with the Roku 4 is that there is no way to filter apps to remove those that require a cable subscription. Just because an app is free doesn't mean it truly is.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It was somewhat difficult to hook up and get the hang of. Now that I've been using it a lot, I like being able to watch Netflx and Hulu on my TV screen. I don't like the remote when using it at night. It should be back light. The picture freezes periodically. I think there is room for a lot of improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this ignoring the negative reviews, but they were right. Unfortunately. It's nothing like my old Roku 3. The only plus side is the ability to stream 4k content. It's buggy, slouchy, audio cuts out, YouTube freezes, randomly exits Hulu and others and it came with Rdio....which doesn't exist anymore. I've only had it for a short time period, but have already had to hard shutdown the thing at least 5 times. Ugh...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better quality than Roku 3

Upgraded from Model 3 for 4K quality. Picture quality is improved and worth the extra price. However there has to be an easier way to set up accounts than having to go through a keyboard and click on numbers and letters for 5 minutes or more to set up an account. This could be done with voice recognition or a remote with an alpha/numeric keyboard so you do not have to cycle thru selections on the screen. I would be glad to pay a bit more for this feature.

A bit disappointed

I was given this as a birthday gift and was very excited. For some dumb reason I thought it would work like a cable box. But it really only gets lots of odd stations for free or you have to spend about as much for each individual channel through subscriptions. I guess I didn't do enough research before putting this as a wish. Also, I hear it running when I walk by it.
