Love it! My only complaint is that there are so many steps to turn it off. I don't understand why there isn't an off button on the remote.

totally cool system but...

Love the possibilities. Only had for few weeks so far. Only thing I am not liking at this time is the lack of power on power off on the remote. Having to unplug reply every time you turn it on seems a bit archaic to me! Only other option is to leave it on auto where it's still "running" after you've powered the tv off. And it still doesn't tell you how to turn it on again in that setting. THAT is why only 4 stars. 4k capabilities and you have to physically unplug the unit to get it to come on. REALLY???!

Dont waster your money

i am on my second roku 4 since October when they came out. They both did the same thing purple/pink screen that turns gray after a few mins. I tried rebooting several times. they both lasted 3 or 4 months. Now I am past the return policy. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First one died in 30 days. Second one refuses to wake from sleep without unplugging. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to replace with another Roku 3 and give up 4K for stability.

We bought the Roku 4 (well, actually two of them) about a month ago and we really are enjoying it! There are so many free options to choose from, it is not just a sales gimmick. It does take some time to figure out what exactly suits your needs because there are so many options, but loading the channels once you find them is incredibly easy and it fin to browse the options. My nine year old daughter caught on quickly and is zipping right along choosing channels. Fortunately, there is a passcode that can be placed so that she cannot get things she should not be. Also, you actually get an email to confirm paid downloads that you can unsubscribe from if it was done in error.
It is nice to have to options for paid channels if you would like to add them as well. My husband is a big Showtime fan so we decided to purchase that monthly subscription, but it is only $10.99 a month. Pennies compared to the $200+ cable bill we used to pay each month! Additionally, you can connect your Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts to Roku for no extra charge if you are already a member of them. Super easy to do.
The one option I wish was available would be to be able to put like channels into folders for easier navigation. I can see it becoming cumbersome to scroll through all the channels to find what you are looking for as we continue to add new channels in the future.
Overall, we are incredibly pleased with our decision to move to streaming TV and find the Roku 4 working great for us. I only wish I had moved on my threat to leave cable sooner because the savings is great after your initial investment!

I bought Roku 4 six weeks ago and I don't see much difference with Roku 3 in terms of functionality. Hardware wise, Roku 4 is disappointing. The fan is constantly running and the device stays very warm -even when not in use.

Don't get the 4!!!

I started with the Roku 1 and loved it of course. Upgraded to the Roku 4 a few weeks ago and had to unplug and replug it in every time. I called customer service and she acted like she fixed the problem. It still would not turn on without having to unplug and replug it in. (Which gets old fast)

Just received my Roku 4. Lightning fast and better looking UI the my older models (2, and 3). Now if i can just get that new 4K TV.
