We absolutely love it. It works flawlessly and I have encountered none of the dire problems depicted in some reviews. My wife and I now have a new hobby, binging on TV series!

I bout it a couple weeks ago and I use it every day! I love it! Only problem is my remote doesn't work, it's flawed or something g so I have to use my iPhone app remote

Remind your potential customers that it does not cost anything to activate their ROKU upon installation. There is a scam that leads you to paying to activate.

I bought this because I have a Roku2 and Roku3 that I love and I just bought a 4K TV. This device works as well as the Roku3...except for SLING TV. If you plan on using this for Sling....DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Sling does not work on this model. Sling tech support stated this is a known issue and they have no timetable for a fix. I find this unacceptable, as there is a Sling button on the Roku 4 remote, yet the Sling app does not work on the Roku 4. It is completely unwatchable. It stutters, drops out, goes to blank screen every 30 seconds. The experience is horrible. Yet it works flawlessly on my older 2 and 3 model Rokus. Also, there is not much 4K content even available on this device, no more than what's available on my Samsung 4K TV smart apps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nothing new except for UHD and a new glitch or two

I have been singing Roku's praises for years now. The Roku 2 and the Roku 3 brought everything I used to watch and listen to on my laptop to my 65 inches of wall mounted joy. I recently upgraded to 4K UHD on one of my sets and of course needed to get the 4K ability for my Roku 4.
So now I can watch Netflix in full beautiful 4K. The picture is outstanding. Clear, crisp everything I expected. The audio is a different matter. The sync between the screen and the speakers is frequently awful. It is like watching a 1950's Japanese movie dubbed in English. The actor's mouths move and then later the sounds come. A bottle falls on the floor and breaks .. wait ... and then you hear it.
The Home Screen on the Roku 4 is exactly the same, with the same options as the Roku 2 and 3, with the exception of the 4K Showcase channel which shows you some of the 4K content the is available, frequently at a cost.
The remote has 4 new buttons that allow you to instantly access content on Netflix or Amazon. One of the buttons gives you access to a provider that is dead.
My recommendation is that unless you need the 4K ability that you save a few dollars and get the Roku 3 or even the Roku 2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased two Roku's in the last week for two different TV's and are very happy. We are ditching are cable and going streaming only.

I read through the other reviews. Their complaints seem to be right on.
Roku 4 unit runs hot. Don't put it on a flat surface it needs air to keep it cool.
Holes in the box would help with cooling.
When starting up Roku 4, some times it will some times it won't open. It will tell you your not connected.
Would I recommend Roku 4, yes with caution. When it's working it's great.
I will be taking it back to the store to get another one. Not ready to give up on it, yet. I do like it, just not, what it's doing.
