Excellent device

I purchased the Roku 4 about a week ago. Overall I could not ask for more out of a device of this nature. Response time is excellent due to the quad core processor, tons of channels and apps, vivid picture quality and sound. The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that it runs extremely hot. I have combated this with a laptop computer fan, which can be powered off the roku's USB port, thus making my unit cool, and responsive, but it should not need the extra cooling. Small price to pay for an excellent product none the less. I would also suggest Roku add an HDMI cable in the package, as this was an inconvenience to me not owning one prior to the purchase. Otherwise it's an excellent product, and I am a satisfied costumer. Thank you.

I recently purchased the Roku 4. It was an a pleasure to set up. Works tremendously so far. I believe that it will turn out to be a great buy. I am using it in my home gym on a LCD tv that has no smart apps. I like to watch Netflix...

Even better than Roku 3. Improves picture on 1080p TV. Planning on TV upgrade to 4k.

More options than AppleTV. VERY easy to install and add apps. I am disappointed in the voice search. It searches all of Roku, not the app you are in. If you are in an app, it takes you back to the home screen to search. I want to be able to just search in Netfilix for example. If voice search is why you bought the Roku 3 or 4, then you might want to go for one of the less expensive models. Also, was excited about the screen mirroring with Android, but come to find out it seems to work with only a very limited number of devices and mine is not one of them. The voice search and screen mirroring are both BIG disappointments for me and why I rated overall Good rather than Excellent. Also, I expected more TV channels to be available, but that is probably due to poor research on my part before hand. Ease of installation and navigation and getting apps installed is AWESOME.

The player was super easy to set up, easy to use. The remote is the perfect size but sturdy and very easy to use. The voice search feature is just great.
