Roku 4 disappoints...

I have owned every Roku since the Roku 1, and I have always loved them. Not so much with this Roku 4. I've never had freezing issues with previous Roku's like I've had with this box. It's become annoying to the point I am actually looking elsewhere for my next streaming box. I work in technology, and I'm very tech savvy, so I've tried everything to fix the issues myself.Roku, for the sake of long time customers, focus on quality with the next release!

doesn't work, has too many issues

The device doesn't power back on with the remote after being off for several hours. Which means you have to manually start it. This is a known issue that still hasn't been addressed by Roku. Which basically means that this is a complete waste of money.

Nice features but Noisy Operation

After only three plus months (about 100 days) I had to get a replacement because the fan got so loud that it drowned out the TV. When I drilled down in the Roku web site, I found that there are complaints with the Roku 4 fan making noise. I should not have had to buy the extended warranty, Roku should have provided it for free giving the history of the noisy problem.

Always hangs .. Tried 3 different units

As long as it works the Roku 4 has great features and a perfect picture .. BUT, it ALWAYS hangs, meaning it stops taking inputs from the remote and the only way to get it going again is to unplug power and restart .. Have tried 3 unites so far and will return this one for good!

I bought my Roku 4 one week ago to stream Netflix and other services. The player gets hot and then will not interface with the remote and locks up. You have to unplug the player and plug it back in to get it to work again.

20x the commercials of local television, it shows the same commercial as many as 8 times back to back
