While the Roku 4 offers a number of great features, it still tends to lock up for no reason even with the latest firmware.

Good picture quality but HDCP needs work

I bought the Roku 4 to get 4k/UHD from Vudu and Amazon (my LG UH8500 only had Netflix, Amazon was DOA and Vudu won't stream 4k to LG only Vizio). The picture quality is great and a nice upgrade from my old trusty Roku LT.
However, the HDMI HDCP issues are real and require an upgrade or recall by Roku. When setting up the Roku, I could not get HDMI to work through my new Yamaha 1050, which has HDCP 2.2 on all the HDMI inputs. Thing is, I didn't get the warning you'll read about the Roku website. There was simply NO picture. The only way I could get anything was to connect it directly to the LG set.
A few days later I re-arranged the components, placing them in a new and improved rack. I accidentally switched the Xbox one and Roku 4 so the Roku was connected directly to the Yamaha 1050. And it worked. I was watching Amazon video on demand, no problem. Unfortunately I made the mistake of turning the system off. The next time it powered up there was picture from the Roku 4 and it had to be connected to the LG set directly again.
I really suspect the Roku 4 has something kind of incompatibility or defect and suggest that Roku investigate and fix the issue quickly, before more, and better functioning, competitive products are introduced.

I received the Roku 4 as a gift. I'd asked for it specifically to get content for my new 4K tv. Set up is really easy. Navigation is pretty straight forward. Syncing up with channel accounts is quick and easy as well. Picture quality is great (depending on source) and streaming is fast with no glitches. 4K looks awesome.

I cannot believe that we never heard of this earlier! Amazing! Setup was easy and fast, farewell satellite dish TV & their huge bills forever! I was very skeptical until we bought it and turned it on. It will more than pay for itself when we don't have to pay next months Satellite dish bill!

I bought the new roku 4 and heard good things about it. I hooked everything up and downloaded a few channels to it that are free of charge. I went to go play an episode for my kids and it keeps coming up error. It says that for every episode on every different channel i look up.

What SD cards work?

Amazon Fire has an affordable and fast 128GB SanDisk SD card made especially for it. The only card I see sold by Roku is an old and slow 2GB card. The Roku 4 is too new a product to come with with 256MB onboard, compared to the 8GB in the Fire. I don't understand why a more expensive product is so light on technology.
