TERRIBLE!!! I RETURNED BOTH!!!

I was so excited when I knew that ROKU 4 was coming out and it would have 4k support. I purchased two of these on the release day. The first one was so terrible that every 10 mins it would reboot and I would have to setup everything again. The remote would stop working / disconnect after about 5 mins and the only option was to power the system off and re-sync to the system. My second Roku would just freeze randomly, no response what so ever and I would have to power off and wait for it to turn back on. I don't know if there are known issue but I've sent both back. I liked my Roku 3's but these 4's are terrible.

Problems...and more problems

Thought I would do well upgrading from the 3 to 4, but isn't the case. While the picture quality is better, it has constant problems and reboots all by itself. Now, after about three weeks, it is totally dead. A real disappointment. In addition to this, I bought the Roku to stream Sling. Sling consistently froze when watching sports. I was constantly restarting the application. Overall, it appears to be a half baked solution.

Flickers a purple screen every few minutes in 4K

It is really working great, except for the fact that it flickers a purple screen every few minutes. This bug makes looking at a movie, pretty annoying. It only does this if you set it up in 4K-mode, but the 4k-ability was the reason I got the Roku4 instead of Roku3.

Noisy fans

I gave it one star because i am on my second roku4 because of the over heating and fan noisy and video choppy or freeze up i have a roku3 that has no problems with it at all and i have the new firetv 4k that has no problem with it i am disappointed in my roku4 the second roku4 is have some problems too with freezing i am about to ask for a refund frustrated. Will not recommended this product to no one.

Huge Upgrade from Roku 3

Faster, better picture, cleaner interface. The Roku 4 is a huge improvement on the earlier versions of the streaming device. Voice feature is a toy, not really that functional, but; none of them really are.

Had to return the device as the Ultra 4K output was not being recognized by my Samsung 4K TV. 1080 worked fine but as soon as changed the output resolution to 4K the Samsung TV failed to recognize the device.

Awesome Product

I love the Roku 4, it is a great product and works very well with my 4K TV. Strongly suggest this to anyone. I actually purchased the new Apple TV, and ended up returning it and buying a Roku 4 instead. We have all Apple products at home, but we still preferred the Roku to the Apple TV. It is a much better product.

HHDMI issue

Please, please fix the hdmi handshake issue when passing through a 4K 2.2 hdcp compliant avr. It is not feasible to hook directly to my tv hdcp 2.2 hdmi input so product useless for my purpose.
