Really Fast

I have bought two wireless DVD players and neither is close to the speed
this unit connects. Well laid out, easy to use the upgrade of the firmware
seemed long I have 50Mbps.

Long over due

Best content selection on the market somewhat overwhelming at first, and when I realized that i can get HBO and Showtime also I was very happy, I should have purchased one of these a long time ago. My TV expense has gone from $170/month to $66/month and I still have more than I need or watch.

Easy set up and use

New to Roku. Easy set up and online help was great. They worked with me for any questions I had. Use of Roku is easy and the devise makes going from one item to another very smooth

Roku 4 was very fast; the picture was great, when it was working. The problem was, the picture would get fuzzy, then go blank, then would reappear. I thought it was my internet speed, so I doubled it. The device did the same thing anyway, so I returned it and got the Roku 3. It's working well.

Overall, the Roku 4 is quite snappy. As with past products, the box is solid with tons of available content.
Unfortunately, despite placement with good airflow, one of my Roku 4's locks up about once / week and has to be unplugged for more than an hour before working again (overheating?). My other Roku 4 shows the same symptom, but takes about 2 1/2 weeks. Hard to get support on the products since by the time I get someone, it works again...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a few days ago to upgrade my roku 3 remote feels better in your hand its a little bit smaller than other roku remotes the unit is bigger than past rokus but looks better seems faster than other models easy interface menus are easy to follow very easy set up picture looks better cant really try the 4k feature do not have a 4k tv yet easily transfers channels over just log into your account and set this up and everything transfers does have an expandable mini sd slot for more memory tons of channels to choose from even has an sirius/xm channel now that is a plus so far all the rokus ive had havent failed yet they are a great product to buy easy to use easy set up thinking about getting rid of cable and going with this instead save money to.buy one i think youll be happy with it

Great features, but dated interface

The Roku 4 is a solid choice for anyone wanting a streaming device. However, the interface is dated and somewhat clunky compared to my Nexus Player's Android TV interface. I have been experiencing quite a bit of lag when backing out of apps like Netflix and Hulu (sometimes it takes over 10 seconds or so to back out to the home screen. All in all, the choice and selection of streaming channels alone is worth getting a Roku. My Android TV is severely lacking in the channel/app category.

Great 4k Picture, but loud fan. Not for bedrooms.

I upgraded multiple roku 3's to 4's and noticed the picture quality on my 4k TVs went up quite a bit. Overall, it is basically the same as a roku 3, but the picture is definitely better. HOWEVER, I would not recommend putting the roku 4 on a tv in your bedroom. In a quiet room, even when the tv is off, this device has a fan that is quite noticeable and WILL keep you up at night. I ended up swapping the bedroom roku back to a roku 3 just so I could sleep. In any other room, where it might be locked away in a cabinet, the fan is not a problem. But in a bedroom, out in the open, I would definitely advise against using a roku 4. Not if you like sleeping, anyway. The roku 3 works great in bedrooms, and is stone silent, so stick with that for now.
