I bought the Roku after reading the reviews online. When I got it home I was surprised to see such vague instruction. Actually there was NO instruction. I had one picture to kind of guide me for installation. I was able to get it working after much trial and error but I am not a gadget-savvy person. I didn't know how to start it. Is there a book available so I can see all the functions and operations this machine has? The review said the model I got, the Roku 4, has "All the bells and whistles". Maybe it does but how the heck to access all this fabulous functionality??? I am disappointed with my purchase. I wanted my Mom to be able to stream her Cubs games from MLB, which I did finally figure out how to get on my own, and she is very happy with that. Other than watching the ball game, this has been an expensive little fancy gadget. If there is an instruction book where can I get one?

No trouble shooting instructions???

I bought this and hooked it up fine, watched netflix once. Now all I get is an error code and it try to repeatedly connect , but cannot. I checked my wifi, that is on and strong. Very frustrating.there is no instructions on how to troubleshoot, or what buttons do on the remote, just hook up instructions. How do I turn it off And on? So far I am very dissatisfied with this product. I also want to go back in and add channels like Pandora, but don't know how.

great player, except when using with 5.1 surround

it is a great player, unless you hook up to 5.1 surround system. as soon as i hooked it up, everything was green~ took it back for a refund.

Very unhappy with it. Wasn't the thing it was said to be. Most of this you must pay for to watch anything free is a joke.

Disappointed!

Not happy and will be returning. Box gets very very hot and that's with the cooling function turned on. No clear on off button on remote or box. Instruction manual inside of box was pictures of box setup and nothing else, had to go online for everything. This was a bad purchase to me and I will be returning it.

I have an LG 4K tv. Unfortunately it does not have a 2.2 hdmi port so the Roku will not transmit a 4K signal only a 1080 signal. A compatibility problem. Beware.

Awesome New Design ,, But Dated Feel

Purchased the New Roku 4 because its the easiest box for the entire house to run,.,
But while it supports 4K its Tech Specs are Lacking and the UI feels Dated
Lan Connection 10/100 ??
For 4K this should be a 10/100/1000 Port especially with Gigabit Connections availible
Bit Streaming HD Audio??
Still cant do No DTS HD or Dolby True HD.. Again you want 4K you will want that..
Dont us a SD Card
Big Fail is as the Unit looses connection to remote when using SD Card
I almost took this unit back because of this problem but once i realized it was the SD card I removed it and the Remote Stayed Paired
Ac Wifi is an awesome feature especially since the Lan port only does 100mbps
by using the 5ghz AC i can do so 600mbps
UI needs to be updated and quickly... Feels like i am using a box from 2013
Fan issue
Was not a issue for me only could hear it if I put my ear next to the unit..
Overall a decent box but if you say you do 4k then you should have a gigabit Lan port and bitstream HD Audio
