As4K programming is sparse, this device bundles up, conveniently what is available. My only negative is that when I called Roku support the first thing the lady said was I should send Roku $20 because real soon if I call they will charge me forsupport. Cheesy

Sounds good in marketing, but it's a major fail.

I was really stoked to try streaming, dump cable, and was super stoked get onto watching my programs in Ultra 4K. I just bought (6 months ago) a $2000 TV, a Sony Bravia too, not some off name brand TV for the very purpose of watching U4K resolution. I did my research and purposely skipped the very well rated Roku 2 and 3 for the express purpose of getting U4K.
However my TV doesn't have HDCP 2.2. This is a major disappointment and quite actually it's downright infuriating!
I think streaming has a long way to go before it's really user friendly to the masses, similar to Android 5 or 6 years ago. It was cool to have another option but there were quirks that you just had to deal with. I still think content is too difficult to find and I'm not a fan of their GUI and mapping programs to my profile.
Extremely disappointed with this jump to streaming.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I find learning how to use this is very hard. Why don't you create a button to
"OWNERS MANUAL' and have all of the instructions on a channel or opening
button where one can find it. This is my second roku.

I have an internet speed of 150mbs, the roku 4 player is wired to the modem. The picture is choppy at times, stops playing 5 to 6 times to load while watching shows. Can only watch one roku player, or stream on one device (cell, i-pad. laptop, etc...) at a time when watching sling tv, and some other channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
