I returned my Roku because I needed a device that would stream MKV files and your device would not do this. So it offers me nothing that I need. I was very hard to set up to even find this out. There were no instructions on how to use the remote and I had to search the internet to find out there was no on or off button.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cannot set up the Roku based on drawings

We are not dumbies but we struggled with setting this up. We have heard such good things but it was frustrating for us to try to plug in the wires when nothing was clear. No instructions about the remote. What are the A, B buttons for? What about the * button? I now have 3 remotes to try to juggle---there has to be a more simple way around this.

No real streaming channels, have to pay for all

I got it and return it in a week, you still have to pay to watch the most popular tv shows, nothing different than Vudu or Netflix

You can access the TV from just turned it on you actually have to go download a bunch of stuff and then download some more stuff and then go through the channels and then download some more stuff just too much stuff to download too many things to download too many accounts you have to set up then you have to enter a credit card then you have to do this I could plug an antenna and get TV faster than this Roku

Poor picture quality on lower internet speed

We bought the Roku because we could get many other channels. The picture quality on the channels is very poor so we are returning the Roku. Also, you can't record a program for future viewing.

Bought this when a friend recommenced the system as being simple and easy to use. According to instructions, connect, plug in, start. establish account and your on your way. Nothing about having to change the imput on your TV, nothing about how to work the system, Oh! wait, tech says to go to the online manual. To answer the next question the answer is NO.

I try to find things to watch and I have to sigh in all the time or it wants me to pay for the channel. I guess I will have to take this back to the store
