Just got my ranges yesterday so haven't used it much yet. It looks beautiful! Replacing my old one was simple. Really looking forward to using this range and will update if there are any problems with it. Bought this model based on the number of positive reviews.

Awesome performance, clean updated look

We purchased this stove almost a month ago. So far we love the stove, it really updated the look of our kitchen. The 2 power burners really heat and boil water fast, extremely important for this busy Mom. The 5 center burner with reversible griddle is my husband's favorite feature, it's like having a indoor grill and the smooth side is perfect for omelets, pancakes, & bacon.
I'm the baker and find the oven great. We did purchase in hopes the convection feature would help speed up dinner time, but it has yet to wow me, this is the reason I gave performance a 4 star instead of 5 star. I find the regular bake mode is great. We both found the panel controls and timer a little confusing as you always have to hit start after putting in a temp or choosing a time. The time also does not go by standard ones, tens, hundreds places. The first time I hit the timer thinking it was for 5 min and was 5 hours. Eeeek. But now we know. Our old stove was ancient and did not have a crazy panel display with do many options, so we were just not used to this type of timer and controls. No big deal we've adapted quickly and do not regret this purchase!

Solid performer

Had the unit for a month, and I love it. Had it converted to LP gas, and it blows away my old range. Looks beautiful, and heats up so fast! Only wish the simmer burner was a little less powerful, but I can deal with that.

I bought this oven to replace my flat top glass electric range and so far so good. Everything is working as it should and the burners are working perfectly. The griddle is probably my favorite part of the oven and we are cooking our first breakfast on it. This is so much better than the electric range.

smoking stove, key pad, light, burners

I like the look of this stove. I spent a little more because I wanted a model that has a number key pad so I didn't have to use a + and - for time and temp. I also wanted a switch for the light because the cheaper models you have to open the door for the light to go on. Who wants to open the door and let the heat out every time you want to see inside. One thing I don't like is that the 2 big burners are in the front and I cook on the stove top a lot, and not always in a large pot so if I want to use a small pan for like 1 egg, I either have to cook on a back burner or cook on the front BIG burner which heats the outside edges of the pan. The worst thing so far is the smoking stove. The first time I used the stove was to broil something. The stove was smoking so bad that I took out the food I was cooking. A lot of Smoke continued to pour out the back of the stove vents (it was not the food because I took it out already). The smoke was sooo bad that I was afraid a fire was going to start. Finally I had to shut off the broiler, open the windows and put on a fan. The smoke smell was like burning plastic or rubber, definitely a chemical smell. I was so upset that my Brand new stove was smoking I called customer service but at the same time my husband looked it up on YouTube and saw a GE smoking stove video and it seems that this is normal due to residue in the manufacturing process, as per GE. Well my house smelled like burnt plastic for a couple days. That must have been the case because I have used the broiler a couple times since then and have not had that problem. The last thing is that the oven cooks hotter than I'm used to, things get done 10 min faster or if you are following a recipe it gets overdone if you don't watch it or take it out early. I got the stainless/grey top stove and it looks good.

Very good stove

I been using this stove for over 3 months, and do love it - it feels solid, works great and looks good. The negative is the center griddle, which stained right away - not sure from what. It's great to warm tortillas, but afraid to cook anything greasy for more stains, which I can't get out (dark and shiny). But the solid center griddle is actually most useful as a solid surface to set things on - a spoon, hot dishes out of the microwave, etc. Also, be aware the touch control pad is rather hard to push - it needs some pressure to use. The plus for this stove - why I picked GE - is they are the only ones with a gray top - not black with the Stainless Steel. Looks so much better in a lighter kitchen - no other SS appliances have black on them anymore. Would have really loved it if it was a lighter gray like the sides of the refrigerators now, and you would lose the big logo.
