Doe NOT even deserve one star

My father, rest his soul was a GE engineer. So, two generations of loyal purchasers here. No more. This is an example of how they don’t make things like they used to. I’m so disappointed. This dishwasher is being replaced after only 4.5 yrs of use and we are empty nesters, one of us travels often so the dishwasher averages only 2-3 times a week use. That said, one could say that maybe we got a lemon, but this one replaced another GE dishwasher that was also less than 5yrs. Coincidence? Well, the house was built 9 yrs ago. All new appliances were purchased at the time and all GE. Our GE Profile fridge also has had to be serviced 3 times, with the processes taking multiple visits because repairmen don’t have the parts and have even ordered the wrong ones when we’ve gotten closer to a fix find out they need to reorder. I’m so done with GE and today we finally switched to a new brand to replace this dishwasher. My thought is that GE has strategically engineered products to not last as long. In almost 40 years as homeowners and as a Realtor, I know the average life of GE appliances is no longer aligned with all other brands combined and comparatively. Things can be repaired but cost half of what it would to purchase new. No thank you. .

This is the worst dishwasher I have rever owned

We moved into our house that was 3 years old and this dishwasher wasn't working at all. Turns out it was the control panel, we fixed it. 3 years later it is not drying anymore. I am not putting any more money into this dishwasher. I will not be purchasing any GE products, if this is the expected lifespan. Ive had much cheaper dishwashers in my 50 years on the planet and all lasted way longer than this GE product!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dead after hardly any use

My dishwasher is six years old, but I didn’t move into the house full time until a few months ago. Until then the dishwasher was used very infrequently. Even when I moved in full time it was used maybe once every other week. Now after only a few months I have no power to the dishwasher. The circuit breaker is fine, no surge protectors are tripped. No power. It’s dead. I hardly got any use out of it, and it’s already dead!

Great product when it actually works. Have owned it for about 2 years, and less than 5 years from installation. Have had to have it serviced and repaired twice… the main issue it being it loses power and doesn’t turn back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Even though I've only had this a day. I've tested it and I'm so amazed by it. I love all the features and options it has. I especially love the upper and lower cycle. I'm sure I will continue to be amazed by it for a very long time. I've always loved GE appliances. Great Job GE!!!
