This model has slowly been getting on all of our nerves. It was rated to be more quiet than our old dishwasher, but the high pitch noises seem to be getting louder. Every few cycles it seems as though it is making a new different high pitched noise. Not happy with the silverware baskets either. You get a couple different ways to put the basket in, but the end result is leftover soap stains and having to run half of the silverware again. It cleans the dishes pretty well, but does take quite a bit of time to run through a cycle. The different noises are my biggest issue. I can even hear it running while I am in the bedroom trying to sleep.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only fair. The machine whistles when in the wash cycle. The silverware holder is hard to unload.

I needed to replace my original dishwasher that was over 25 years old. Needless to say dishwashers have changed quite a bit in 25 years. This dishwasher is extremely quiet. I can actually hear my tv now instead of the washer when I turn it on. I have left some residue on the dishes before I put them in the washer. It will be days before I turn it on and they come out squeaky clean! Just use the products they suggest and you will be happy too with this washer.

Quiet, Cleans Well-tricky to fit small dishes

I am happy with how quiet and how well this dishwasher cleans. However, I struggle with finding a secure place for my children's small bowls. Some of the rods seem too far apart to securely hold common dishes, especially those that are smaller.

This dishwasher is one of 3 stainless steel GE appliances we bought that match and they look so nice in my newly remodeled kitchen.

I bought this a few months ago because it had great reviews. It has scratched every single one of my glasses. I have tried everything that the installer said to do. Not that impressed. Sorry. The only reason it has 3 stars is that it is quiet. So, it gets 5 stars for quietness and 1 star for clean dishes.
