It worked okay for the first few years, but it is now less than 5 years old and it has died. There is something wrong with the electrical system. Unplugging it and plugging it in again worked okay a few times. Then it started staying "dead" for longer and longer periods of time before it would start up again. It has now been two weeks or so of washing dishes by hand, and my husband said it has started up again, finally. We check it just about every day to see if it will turn on. Today was our lucky day. We'll see how long it lasts before it dies again. I think when we fill it up with lots of dishes is when it seems to die. It can handle smaller loads easier, I guess. They're not making this model anymore, but if they were, I would not recommend. The one good thing about it is the interior racks didn't rust out like all of our previous dishwashers did. The interior still looks great.

Too many issues

I’ve had this dishwasher for about 3-4 years, I’ve only used it a few dozen times, I’ve already had to replace the main board and now the door opens without the dishwasher recognizing. Way too many problems for a newer model dishwasher

Good when it's good, but not after year 4.5-5.

When the washer worked, it was good and we had no issues. However, over the last year, it has randomly chirped sounds and we've routinely/weekly had to turn the dishwasher off at the breaker box, leave it off for a few minutes, then turn it back on. That turn off period had extended to hours and days, but it seems totally dead now. 5.5 years of use. Sounds like a control board issue from reading other reviews, so why not a recall? Any incentive to stay with a GE product when I look to replace this in the next couple weeks?

Dishwasher has no Power

I purchased this model in April 2018 for my downstairs bar area so this is not my main dishwasher. I run this dishwasher every other month at this most. Today when I tried to run it, the dishwasher had no power. Even before reviewing all the horrible feedback regarding this unit, I did turn the breaker off and then back on and nothing. Based on the other comments, I will not plan to put any $$ into fixing this. Why would I? Sounds like a nightmare and substantial costs to get it fixed and keep it running. Deeply disappointed in GE (a billion-dollar company) that they don’t provide some type free service or a voucher for a new dishwasher. I have several duplexes and have always used GE appliances in my units. Not anymore – Whirlpool will be my new brand

Worst brand ever

I guess I have the same problem as many people, dishwasher wasn't turning on few times , it was fixed by unplugging and turning the breaker off. Now it doesn't want to work! We had an issue with the GE stove as well, and the washing machine, all happened this year.... They run for few years and just stop... I'm not buying this brand anymore. When we moved to our house, we chose GE for all our applications... Big mistake

Very disappointed

I give it two stars because the previous GE was one star. I didn't upgrade my appliance pkg with the builder. Hugh mistake. This is very loud, doesn't always clean and the soap dispenser does not open all the time. Based on this experience, I would Not buy another GE. Too bad because I was taught it is a good brand.

Sleek look and quiet

The product looks great and is so incredibly quiet I can't believe how loud my previous dishwasher was in comparison! I wish I wouldn't have had to order the instruction manual to load the machine separately. The silverware bins are confusing to figure out. But I love the zone washing options. Since its only two of us, I can load either the bottom or top half of the dishwasher and save water. A great feature out here in drought laden California!
I would recommend this to a friend!
