I purchased this to replace an existing older dishwasher after moving into a new home. I like the filter feature and it holds a lot of dishes!

Broken Water Pump

Prior to buying our new home, the plumber tested the new GE dishwasher. The dishwasher had a broken water pump and caused the entire tub to fill and flood our new hardwood floors. The warranty was good with replacement, and we haven’t had another issue. The bottom rack doesn’t fit cooking sheets or cooling racks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great design and features

I love the design and look of this dishwasher, the hidden controls and towel bar are great features. It is the most quiet dishwasher I’ve ever owned. I like the silverware caddy and the additional one that closes so you can add small things. This model allows me to choose upper or lower wash zones which is great for a single person household.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good clean pots, pans, glasses, plates and utensils. Machine is super quiet. Love the controls installed on top of door, hidden when closed.

In the last 15 years I've had a hard time finding new appliances that lasted without tons of problems, I live in the country and have very hard water, so dishwashers really haven't been an option for me as they I'll have less spots on the glasses.
I've had this GE dishwasher now for 3 years and today was the first time I ever had to do anything to it, turns out all it was was one of the kids and pushed too many buttons and accidentally put it in demo mode. Once I broke out the Manuals it was an easy fix.
Thank you for putting out such a good product.
The only issue that I have with it is how hard it is to keep the front clean, being a stainless front it seems to always be filthy, four dogs in the house.

The inside tube melted due to heat coil touching

The dishwasher was working fine, till it started leaking water and we found that the heating coil touched the inside plastic and melted it. This is manufactured defect. The usage was very normal. A medium load 4-5 times a week. The water leak
