Great reliable dishwasher!

We absolutely loved this dishwasher. Unfortunately, after years of residential use, it sprung a leak and emptied onto the floor which ran into the basement. Even though that happened, we would buy this model, again, if it was still offered. Now we’re trying to find its replacement.

No power after a few years

Not sure how old my model is but I bought this house about 2.5 years ago with it included. The past few months I have been having to frequently reset the circuit breaker due to it randomly having no power. The past few weeks I noticed it beeping frequently even when it was closed & not running. This morning I noticed it had no power again and have tried all the tricks on YouTube/google/the manual and nothing. Seems like this is a common issue with this dishwasher after a few years of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brand new dish washer when we built the home, and it wont turn on, and wash anything. Very disappointed only gave us 5 years

Seems common defect - rouge beeps,hard reset, dead

First, the dishwasher started beeping at random times when no interaction with it was taking place, we joked it was saying good morning or good evening. Next, it powered down completely, requiring a hard reset at the power source. These resets worked for a couple of months. Now, dead. When researching this issue - it seems it is very common for this model (maybe others?). Control board replacement seems to be the fix, but I am not interested in paying hundreds of dollars for replacement parts or service when the experience of so many others with this same dishwasher has been the same - I no longer trust that money would be worth it. GE should back/fix this issue with free parts/service since it seems it is a QA issue with the control board. Dishwashers should last more than a couple of years.

Bad control panel

I had the same issue that a lot of people seem to have had. The control panel simply died on Thanksgiving and we had to hard reset the power from the breaker in the basement to get the dishwasher to turn on. Then it started making chirping noises when no one touched it, and eventually nothing we did would get the panel to light up, so we now have a fully powered dishwasher that can't be commanded to start. Completely useless. The control panel quality assurance is poor on this product, do not recommend.

Disappointing in the GE brand

Well I seem to be in the same boat as others. For the past year it has worked intermittently, with the door sensor being the issue. It’s been running great for a couple of months, now I go to start it and lights are all on, like it’s going to run, but nothing happens. Dishwasher is only 4-5 years old, this is ridiculous.
