Bad Experience

Have had this washer for 2ish years. Product shorts out all the time. The display board will turn on at random times then completely turn off and not work for days. It'll randomly turn back on. Its a crap shoot every time we load the dishwasher whether it'll turn on or not. Out of warranty and not will to pay GE prices for someone to "look at it". I've seen a bunch of articles online that it is a manufacturer issue with the system not recognizing that the door is closed. But yet GE doesnt have a special warranty for this. SMH
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did not last long

Loved the dishwasher until the panel kept beeping and going off on its own. Then today only after 5 years, the dishwasher will not even power on. So disappointed, the timing could not be worse.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh no! We are so sorry to hear that your dishwasher door sensor is no longer operating as designed. This is definitely not the consumer experience that we strive for. We recommend resetting your dishwasher by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function, this will require service by a qualified technician. Piece of junk

Ive owned a number of dishwasher and this by far has been the worst. First 2 months after purchasing a valve failed and leaked causing my hardwood floors to be ruined. Thankfully I had it professionally installed so GE paid to have my floors repairs. Now after not quite 4 years of use the control boards went bad. Absolutely unacceptable and disappointing quality . I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Great features! Large load capacity

I love that I can load only one area, top or bottom, allowing for small daily loads or larger loads after entertaining. the stem savers for delicate glassware is also a nice feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really Quiet, has everythng I need, dishwasher

Needed to replace a 12 year old 500 series, which I loved. After reading a lot of reviews, good and bad about the currant 500 series dishwashers. I choose to purchase a new model GDF610PGJWW, which had no reviews. Have used it for couple weeks with no complaints. It is almost too quiet, but I'm liking that more and more. It seems that the cycle times of the newer appliances have increased in duration. But I didn't care 12 years ago how long the cycle ran for, just that it ran quiet and did a good job. This DW does a good job, love the bottle jets and the fact that the upper rack accommodates the taller insulated cups and water bottles. I haven't ever used a 'Dry' cycle, I just open the door and pull the racks out at the end of the cycle, shake the plastic in the sink and throw it all right back in the racks, tip the glasses so no water pools. With door left open and racks still out, I have a ceiling fan and A/C, everything is dry in 10 mins.
Still happy with GE after all these years.

Does not dry dishes

We like the dishwasher, as it does clean the dishes, it also has easy to use control options on the front, however... The dishwasher will NOT dry the dishes. We have only had it for two months and we are already ready to purchase a new one.
