This dishwasher has the look of quality and so far my experience it is quality. It does a good job at washing and is much quieter than I expected. Looking forward to many years of use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Total flop, very frustrated

This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble since we started using it. First, the heating coil stopped working, so if we use it, we get a bunch of soggy greasy dishes, and now the it just won't turn on. It was installed in September, we moved into the house in February and it's July and doesn't work at all right before I am supposed to host a huge 4th of July Celebration. I am ready to give up and buy something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dishwasher

Just got it yesterday, too new to give a balanced review. But so far so good. A little concerned about drying. This replaced another old ge dishwasher that dried better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible junk

I bought this dishwasher last August, by December it quit cleaning dishes. Frequently won't drain, has to be ran on the longest cycles just to get them semi clean, right now it won't bring water in. Despite continually cleaning it out, it's not gotten any better. I've had to hand wash more dishes since I got this thing than before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The machine went dead, 2 years since purchase

Hi GE. The machine was working absolutely fine. But as of last week its completely dead. The electric supply does exist as tested using the non-contact tester, BUT the control panel remains dark and hence the machine has been rendered useless. What could be my next steps?

Worked for three years

It was run 50 or fewer times - as I was out of town a lot. So much for durable goods.
I've replaced the pump and intake valve and now the control board. The fix for an out-of-warranty but infrequently used DW has added up to the same price as the machine.
Pros: it was quiet
