I love this washer!

I have never wanted to show off a washer until i got this one. This washer has saved me money on water and power. Many great features and better for our cosmos. No more clothes getting stuck or overly stretched out due to agitator in middle. When my dryer goes out i will be replacing it with a GE one to match. Great product i am impressed!!!

We are more than disappointed in our GE washing machine. After a few weeks of no fabric softener, I finally noticed the button you have to push if you want softener dispensed! Every load of dark clothes we have washed comes out with soap scum even with the Deep Rinse selection. If the dark clothes have soap scum, we can be certain all loads have it.

When selected, the Deep Rinse cycle ensures clothes are rinsed of soap residue and fabric softener. Simply press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add an additional 3 gallons of water to the wash load. Holding the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible (26 gallons). The Deep Fill button can also be pressed after the washer has completed filling and is in the wash phase if additional water is desired. Worst Washer Ever

Worst washer ever!! It does not wash my clothes clean, does not fill up with water to cover my clothes and always leaves white stuff on my clothes.

First off, I'm rating this product based on cost; if you expect to get a top of line product with all the bells and whistles, then you expect too much. Also, I'm going to address some of the concerns rather than the pros.
I went to a local appliance store and they recommended this product when I told them what my price range was. I then went and read a lot of reviews and one of the top complaints was that is was loud and many reviews were negative because of where they bought the product. Others were negative because they apparently had never purchased a newer washer.
Yes, it is kind of loud and sounds like a spaceship is lifting off. Having said that, I have it in the kitchen which means there is only one wall between me and the washer and it really doesn't bother me.
I bought this at a local appliance store and you should always buy major appliances from a local store. They actually care about the consumer and will help you. They can't stay in business if they have a bad reputation. Don't buy from a big box store.
New washers just aren't like older units. The government in an attempt to make things more energy efficient and better on the environment, enforced regulations that made the newer units different and it uses less water.
Washer cleans clothes fine and the settings work well. I haven't had any problems out of it since I've had it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst washer and dryer I’ve ever owned

This washer and matching dryer has been the absolute worst purchase we’ve made. They are both only 3 years old and we just replaced the dryer last week and this week the washer goes out. I know they aren’t manufactured anymore and I guess that’s why, they are garbage. Washer and dryers are supposed to last 10+ years. I will never purchase another GE appliance of any kind again because of the poor quality and customer service we’ve experienced with these.

Terrible Product!!!

The aluminum hub of the basket of our 4 year old washer completely disintegrated. This appears to be a common problem. The replacement part is discontinued and it has a 1 star rating, with every reviewer having the exact same problem. This is completely unacceptable for such an expensive washer. Needless to say, this is our last GE product.

Cleaning was adequate but frequently left a residue. The drum shatter at the shaft as I see many others have experienced. Definitely a product flaw. Will not be replacing with a GE.
