Don't waste your money!

I bought this in March so far it's been of no use because of how many repairs it's needed. I've spent more time at the laundry mat since buying it! Control board and motor already been replaced and now the basket isn't spinning so waiting on another maintenance appt... worked great for the first month we owned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The worst washer I have ever owned. Sent first washer back because of white substance on clothes after washing. Second washer is doing same but not as bad. Clothes come out extremely wrinkled, even when Spin Cycle is on normal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Features

Already started using my new washer and I'm loving the fact that it doesn't have an agitator and I can fit more clothes in one load! I also don't have to worry about my clothes getting destroyed over time! I also love the "My Cycle" feature that lets me customize a wash cycle and use over and over with out always selecting the options for it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Washer noise

The motor noise of this washer is beyond loud. It was replaced once already and the 2nd one was a little better. I worked for GE for 25 years building motors for appliances. No way would we have shipped a product this noisey from our plant and if we did rejection at the appliance assembly plant was a given. I was directed to listen to a video that sounded just like my washer. I cannot understand how this can be acceptable noise for GE. Very disappointed as a retired GE employee.

Bought this 6 mos ago. It does not spin correctly. the sheets end up in a bind looking like the tire on the back of a jeep! There is no middle piece to keep the laundry from bundling up and ending up in a ball. Clothes are tightly wound when wash is complete.
It was my impression that the machine would "balance itself" out. That is not true. It simply stops! So, don't leave the room with it expecting to be done in 45 min. At one point, it stopped and the water never spun out.

We purchased this top load for our new home. Unfortunately it's much louder than we ever imagined and they have attempted to change some parts to improve the noise, but no luck. Very disappointed in the quality of the product!
