Like the clear glass lid

We tried different washer and took back 2 before buying the GE washer and this washer has met our families needs and is very efficent.

In less than 6 mos after relatively normal usage the machine now stops mid cycle. We don't think the load is out of balance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've had this for about 5-6 months now and it's pretty much just an average washer. One plus is that we have it in the basement so the above average noise level isn't to much of a factor for us. Seems to get the wash clean and use less water

I purchased the washer about 4months ago. I had to learn how to operate it.
I just love it. I have had very good luck with it. And my clothes really come out nice and clean.

We purchased this washer in August after our Maytag transmission failed after only 3 years (a common problem). So far, so good!... We've read the reviews and honestly, it isn't any noisier than any of the others we've had, or our friends have had. One criticism- the end of cycle alert volume is very low.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gets laundry clean

This machine gets laundry clean – it is great. But it is noisier our previous GE laundry machine and occasionally spins unbalanced after agitating loads that were balanced earlier in the cycle. It is also a bit tricky to obtain the water level I prefer for small loads on auto fill, but maximum water level is easy to use. However, all together, I have been so delighted with this machine that I have told friends that this is the first time in decades that a new appliance has worked better than the model it replaced. We have concluded that water and energy saving design has finally advanced to the point that it actually works.
