This washer, like its partner, the dryer, has a mind of its own. You can wash one item when you choose that option, it has a lot of options to choose from. It tells you, if adding fabric softner (which I always do), to also push this button, tells you what to do if you want an extra rinse. It has definitely shortened the time it takes me to do my laundry and my sons. I'm extremely glad that my salesman was VERY honest about other brands, and I have a small, narrow laundry room, so I was extremely limited to what I could purchase. I'm so happy this washer was one of the options that fit the size I had to work with.

Loud and cheap

I am so unhappy with this purchase. This machine is loud and although I'm told this is normal it's very distracting and sounds like it's malfunctioning. The soap dispenser is cheaply made and I keep accidentally pulling it out of its slot. Wish I would've sent it back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great washer, can handle both large and small loads. Easy controls, especially like the digital displays. Good automatic settings that also allow customized to individual needs.

I bought this washer two months ago and I must say it's the best investment this year. I had a hotpoint washer for 5yrs and it broke down on me :( I love the features this GE washer has and the fact that it has compartments for the detergent and fabric softener is a plus for me.
