Never buy GE!

Growing up GE used to be trust name for quality. That has completely changed!!! Bought this machine new and I’ve had it for less than 3 years. I have had to replace pump twice this year alone! Repairman told me when he replaced second pump that machine will probably go out completely soon because he can hear how bad it sounded when he tested the new pump. The whole machine stopped working now. Repairs would cost more than a new machine. Complete and total crap!!!!! Do not ever buy GE appliances!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolute garbage.

Does not clean clothes well. Constantly goes out of balance even on small loads and leaves your clothes soaking wet. Just absolute garbage. Avoid anything “HE” or “GREEN” both words translate to inferior product.

Regarding the balance issues, we recommend making sure to load your items loosely starting from the outside moving inwards. Also make sure the washer is level as that can cause balance issues. If you need anything, we're always here to help. Mike@GEA

Horrible Product

The base of my basket has deteriorated and cannot be repaired. This washer is only 5 years old and I am disgusted at how poorly this was manufactured. At the advice of my service repairman, I will never buy another GE washer....ever! And this was not an inexpensive washer either. Wanted to add a photo but not able to for some reason. You would be appalled.

Failed to meet expectations

After reading many reviews I purchased both washer & dryer. What a beautiful & affordable set!! This washer was installed yesterday. It's been less than 24hrs and it is malfunctioning. I'm so disappointed. It keeps saying sensoring,then supply H2O. I attempted calling GE but it's a holiday so they are closed. What a way to start 2016:-(

Only 6 loads in amazed

Just started using this beautiful machine today, however since my last washing machine broke down 2.5 weeks ago I had a bit of laundry to do and so did my wife. Was waiting for this noisy, floor crawling nightmare to begin. Well that's what I read on a couple post, however that never happened what happened is that I discovered my dryer is louder than my washer.
My clothes came out clean and smelling fresh, I tried washing them with an extra boost of water since this is my first high efficiency washer, clothes came out wonderful, ran on normal spin which was perfect. Them my second load with a few hoodies and jeans I did without extra water and on normal spin, could've done one step higher in the spin but still a lot better than my old washer.
My wife did a few loads too and one of them on delicate wash, put a few things in her special little washer bags and after watching washer ruin realized that those special delicate bags were no longer needed with this washer.
Really impressed as of this moment and really glad I did my research and went with my gut on this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am disgusted that I purchased this item: bought 2/1/2016.
Service person came on 4/22 & will back on 4/26...for the same problem. a known drain/spin problem

Disappointing to say the least

I've had this washer a few months and am so disappointed. I can't even do a load of sheets (flat sheet, fitted sheet and 3 pillow cases) without having it sound like it's coming through the floor and it moves so much it bangs into my new washer and turns sideways in my laundry room. If I try a duvet cover, it does the same and then doesn't rinse so I have a 50 lb water logged duvet cover to deal with. My old cheap washing machine handled these items easily (not too heavy). Also, the normal sounds of the machine sound like you're having an MRI. It's quite comical when you are on the phone with someone and they say "what is that noise"?

Please place a level on the lid from side-to-side and then from front-to-back to check that the machine is level as this can cause out of balance loads. If the machine is level and you are still having this issue please be sure that the loads are consistent in weight all around.
