Best washer I ever used!

I've been using my new washer for less than a week, and am convinced I have purchased a superior product. In this short time I have given the washer a very good workout by running a considerable number of loads, big and small and with various fabrics. Every completed load more than met my expectations.

My first washing machine was a GE and it last for nearly 20yrs. Since then I have purchased 2 other brands all within 10yrs. Needless to say I'm happy to be back GE

Not so Happy after 1 year

I have had this washer for 1 year and 1 month now, and I'm not lovin' it anymore. My towels are looking old and worn out due to the low water levels; even when I push the 'add more water' button the water levels are not enough. So I wash smaller loads, but that don't help because the initial water level is lower as deemed sufficient by the 'smart' washer sensor. Laundry is now an all day job as I pretty much have to camp-out in the laundry room to babysit each load. Trying to wash a comforter (even a twin size) is a joke! The washer will not give you more than a half of tub of water, no matter how you set it, use the add water button, not even if you pre-wet the items to make them heavier (it apparently senses the weight of the load). When trying to wash a comforter, many times it is not even thoroughly wet. News Flash: It takes WATER to wash clothes! Tired of hearing excuses like it is the fault of the new government regulations that won't allow sufficient water usage. What are we supposed to do? Wear dirty clothes? Why bother to wash them?
As for the large size of the washer tub: Why such a big tub if you are only going to give us a half of a tub of water? Hey GE, you could save more money and add to your profits if you made the tub to fit the maximum amount of water allowed.

After reading reviews and specifications for days, I finally chose this washer for the features, like deep fill, the 10 year warranty, and the ability to wash comforters and bedspreads. Works well so far!

Love it so far

This was installed yesterday and perhaps it is too early to write a review. I've washed nonstop since installation. It seems to be doing a much better job washing than my front loader whirlpool. It does seem to be a little louder than the previous machine but it is not annoying. It has a job to do and so far, no complaints.
