Agitator unnecessary

I have always owned a top loader with an agitator. I was a bit reluctant to trust that this machine could do the job. It is more powerful than I expected. The jeans setting was so strong that my jeans faded (even though they were old jeans). I would recommend just using the normal setting for jeans. The machine is definitely on the noisy side but I am willing to overlook it for the good job it does in cleaning clothes.

Great Washer

I bought this washer over a month ago and I'm so happy I decided on this model. It has a large capacity and I'm able to program soak cycles of times ranging from 15 minutes to 1 hour. Gets even my dirtiest stuff really clean. Most wash cycles take only 38 minutes!

Great but loud Washer

Have had for a few months and it's great with tons of features, but it has some odd and actually very loud operational noises... have to keep the laundry door closed..

No more agitation!

After my old washer died, I looked for another top loader, but one without the agitator. This GE does the job, getting my laundry clean and allowing me to wash much larger loads than with my old one, saving time and money.

We really like this washer! Would have been 5 stars but we wish there was a way to wash out the soap measuring cup before running a load. You can only do this on the "Bulky Items" setting.

We bought this washer back about 7 months ago and have been somewhat pleased with it. When it works right it works great and gets everything very clean. The main issues that we have are that it sometimes gets VERY off balance during the spin cycle and it gets so violent that the washer will actually move several inches if we don't hear it, pause it, and readjust what's in the tub. It mainly does it when we have towels or bedding in there. So frustrating. Also, as of recently during the spin cycle it sounds as if something has broken loose as it makes very horrible clanking noises like someone has thrown ball bearings in there and let them spin around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was skeptical about purchasing an agitatorless washer and finally decided to make the change. I love this washer! Our water bill was $7.35 lower last month.
