Very satisfied with my new GE washer - happy with how quickly the cycles finish the wash and the clothes feel almost dry. I'm saving water and time with my new washer!

My old washer was dying and I wanted to find a replacement before it went. I was limited by the total depth that the new washer could be. I wanted a top loader, and after seeing a washer with an impeller, I decided to go look for that.
This GE model does a great job. It has a huge drum and holds a lot. I’ve never filled it to capacity; my husband has, and everything comes out clean. A dozen fabric settings and you can specify water temperature, soil level and spin. I’d definitely get this one again.

One caveat...The drum is quite deep and it might be difficult for a shorter person to easily reach the bottom.

Good Washer

After using the washer for a couple months, we finally think we have it figured out. We replaced a front loader with this, so it took a little getting used to the top loader with no agitator. Now that we do, we love it. Our clothes come out clean, and we love the active wear setting for all of our dri-fit clothing. It definitely gets them smelling a lot fresher. Overall we are glad we purchased this washer.

I bought this a few months ago after my old set went out. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning when these bad boys were delivered and now I look forward to actually doing laundry. Love it

You know what you're getting into...

This is our first high efficiency, impeller less washer. It is certainly different than anything we have ever had before. The clothes come out clean, but I wonder how because it puts so little water in the average wash. This thing is way too smart for its own good. The biggest problem is the spin cycle. It's loud. A normal spin sounds like a helicopter landing in your laundry room. But that's the good part. It has a tendency to get off balance, and when it does it is quite violent! Bumping, thumping, and walking across the floor. We researched this well, but we did not see any comments about the unbalanced spin, but apparently everyone knows because even the delivery man remarked on how violent it was. So we live with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The drum is a bit deep for me to reach for my clothes; not sure I like the low water feature or that it get's my clothes clean...too many buttons for me; I like a simple straight forward washer; and they are hard to find.
