I was extremely disappointed with this washer: It was meant to be an equal replacement for another brand by the home warranty company. The cycle end sound at the highest sound level is the quietest thing on this machine. It can only be heard if standing in front of the machine with no other noise in the house. The operation noise of the washer can be heard throughout the house even with the laundry room doors closed. The drum is stainless steel but the fin is plastic which scratches easily by zippers or pulls. The large capacity was supposed to be a plus until the delivery person cautioned about filling no more than 1/2 full with clothing...Compared to my last machine of the same type but different brand this machine is made very cheaply. It is just ok, nothing to get excited about.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the no ring in the the tub, keeps clothes from wrapping up. Clothes come out cleaner and like the low water use.
