GREAT WASHER

I decided on this washer after doing some research and reading customer reviews, consumer reports ratings for this machine were good, also my parents purchased GE Appliances years ago because of the reliability.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Holds a lot of clothes and and cleans them well!

I bought this about a month ago and I have been nothing but happy with it. I had a Maytag for 20 years that finally gave up and I did a lot of research and was a bit nervous about making a new purchase. I have a large family so I wanted something that would hold a lot of clothes, but I also wanted it to do a very good job getting the clothes cleaned. So far, this machine has done both and I have been very happy with my purchase!!!

Happy with Purchase

I have had this machine for a week and love it! Uses less water than my old agitator machine and no mold smells (as I've read occur with front loaders). I am able to wash more clothes at one time, saving me time. In addition, the wash cycle is not long. The clothes come out less damp, decreasing drying time. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great machine

Just replaced a 20 yr old washer. Like the features this has especially no agitator. It runs quiet and clothes are clean.

Strong, quiet, and efficient

I was impressed by the value in this less-expensive model among offerings currently available. I was expecting a like-value replacement for my 10-year-old GE washer. But, minor problems existing in the old washer seem to be worked out in this new one. I looked hard for a different brand and weighed my options. I just couldn't quite justify paying more for the same specifications which mattered to me.
This new washer is much quieter, especially during the spin cycle. It has a much faster and effective spin, allowing it to pre-dry clothes before they are ever ready to be moved to a dryer. This will save on the energy costs of our 10-year-old dryer and delay any concerns about needing to also replace it before it's outlived its usefulness. The low-profile wash-impeller seems to treat the clothing much more gently, yet, so far, proves to be just as effective as an agitator. More importantly, it doesn't seem to be prone to sloshing water out of the tub (explained in the next paragraph). I have not experienced the overly-sensitive balance issue, clothing ending up knotted, nor the leftover detergent/softener issues appearing in other reviews.
My 10-year-old GE washer was bad for excessive noise during the spin cycle, for sloshing liquid outside the tub during the wash cycle at maximum capacity, and for somehow allowing an occasional sock to reach the drain-impeller. I suspect the last two issues are related. The sloshing would cause soapy water to run down the outside of the tub and onto the belt drive system. This caused horribly-loud belt squeaking until it dried. Two or more maximum capacity loads in the same week would overrun the overflow pan at the bottom of the washer and cause minor flooding onto my floor. It took us a few years to figure all of this out. But, we eventually learned the best work-around is to never use the maximum ("super") capacity setting. In fact, the only remaining problem for the past six years we couldn't work-around was the noisy spin cycle. It sounded a bit like a train barreling by, right outside our home. The sound carried throughout our home and we would have to pause any movies in progress until the spin cycle completed.
My 10-year-old GE washer was finally done-in by a discontinued fusible link cable - a cheap part that couldn't be replaced with any assurance of safety. It worked well as a built-in expiration for the entire washer (naughty designers!). Hopefully, I will have better luck with the maintenance issues and longevity of this washer.
