Very nice looking but is not like my old machines. These are light weight and go out of balance very easily. Very noisy.

Hello Lnda - We're sorry for your experience. The washer needs to be sitting on a good, solid floor. If the machine is overloaded, the clothes may not be able to move freely and may be more likely to throw the basket off balance. Also, the more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. Regretting our purchase

We purchased this washer approximately a year ago and have become nothing but frustrated with this machine. As the other reviewers stated it is noisy to the point that it is annoying since it gains your attention when around the house. The worst problem we have had is that it gets out of balance remarkably easy. If you attempt to wash a comforter or a blanket, once hitting the spin cycle the drum slams itself on the sides of the machine. Instead of the spin cycle slowing down after showing out of balance, the machine fills itself back up with water. Then attempts to spin itself again at the same speed slamming the drum out of balance, then eventually the machine will shut off leaving you with a sopping wet heap of clothes that you need to wring out by hand before running in the dryer for several hours. We have had a repair company come out to look at the machine to make sure everything was working correctly. They agreed everything was working as it should and were honest that it looked like a badly designed machine. Other reviewers have found the same issues we have had to include a lack luster cleaning performance with stains, or semi dirty items.Unfortunately we spent a lot of money on a lemon but will be avoiding GE products in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lean, mean, Cleaning machine!

The deep tub allows me to put anything in from towels to blankets and can still do small "Oh I forgot I need this shirt for tomorrow" loads.
