Water level always a problem / issue. Spin cycle set on maximum, but clothes are not as dry after spin dry as previous washer. This results in longer drying times in dryer. This seems like poor design and engineering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect size for a family of 5! This model does not have the agitator which gives you plenty of room for your clothes, blankets, sheets, or towels. I love the number of features it has. It is easy to clean, you can set your own cycle, it is energy star certified and high effiency (so you don't need a lot of detergent to wash. I also love that the cover is transparent so you see the inside. It has a lock feature that turns on automatically when your wash begins. Highly recommended!

We got this set and HATE the washer AND dryer!

We purchased this along with the 7.4CuFt ELECTRIC Dryer and HATE both of them! The washer will just keep filling, draining, and refilling if it is out of balance, which happens almost every time we wash "bulky" items like blankets/comforters... which is part of the reason why we decided to go with the larger (deeper) options to begin with! So our water bill is WAY higher than it needs to be and drying time is needed to be done SEVERAL times in order to dry a sopping wet load that won't balance! HATE IT and NOT HE after all this trouble, time and water/electricity! I can see why it's no longer available because it's AWFUL. Wish I could get my money back! Fail on GE's part on this one!

We bought this washer in July 2016. Since the time we got it it was doing a terrible noise on spin cycle to the point that the machine would move. Not too long ago I started to notice black streaks on some clothes; it looked like grease. I had a technician come over twice and the problem could not be fixed. The second time the needed part to fix it was backorder. GE replaced the washer for a new one, same model with another 2 year garanty from the delivery date.
My new machine is working very well and is quiet. I would like to thank the employees who dealt with my request. It was great customer service. Yes I do recommend GE product as they will take care of you as a customer.
