Don’t buy!!

Do not buy! We built our house just under 6 years ago and have had to replace everything except our fridge and stove so far. Our drum shredded in pieces around the motor like several other ones I’ve seen. GE just tells you that it’s out of warranty. Their appliances do not last!!!

GE washer that is JUNK

Had this washer about 3 years and has been leaking on the bottom for months, now it does not spin the clothes dry and is super loud and shakes like crazy when it spins. Had a repairman come out today and the transmission is blown and the part is 400 to fix it- he said don't bother because this washer only lasts 5 yrs anyways. Just bought the dryer to match 3 months ago and takes over 90 minutes to dry a small load- not sure if that is because the clothes aren't spun very dry. Definitely done with these crappy appliances. Of course bought the 1yr extended warranty but my time is up on that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On glass top lid: The plastic around the hinges completely broke apart, have to manually take lid off & on washer. At around year 5, the plastic started to chip and brake off. The dail for wash load selection is still working. But push buttons will no longer push to change settings.

Cleans clothes wonderfully, fits a whole bed set

I loved this model more than any I have owned... until it stopped draining. It will still wash the clothes wonderfully but it will not drain or spin if you try to cancel / restart on drain and spin only it just keeps adding water like it's trying to balance the load and repeating until the basket is filled to the top. I'm hoping I will be able to get it fixed since I have now been with out a washer for seven months since I cannot afford to get a replacement or pay a repairman to come look at it so I've been washing by hand and with two boys ages 10 and 7 I don't have to explain how much I have to wash.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I do not like the new machines with no agitator. I have only had this machine a couple of years and it already doesn't spin out or powers off mid cycle. I do the reset that is suggested with this kind of problem it may work for a cycle or it may not, and it's gotten so that I have to do it regularly to try and get some laundry through. A washing machine that only lasts 2 years 👎

Disappointed, not the GE that I grew up with

Grew up, thinking GE was the best there was that’s not the case no more bought this washer four years ago in a two person family house and it only lasted four years just enough for the warranty and the extended warranty to go out. Now at this point, I wish I could return my dryer too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT BUY. digital washers should not exist. The control panel has gone basurk and I'm lucky if I can get a button to work in any given day.
