Amazing product!

This is such a durable appliance. It’s so quiet. Functional and space saving, compared to the larger washers I’ve had. The controls are simple and provide multiple options. The washer is able to fit large loads of clothing. Cutting my laundry day in half. Also, the cycle options are very accommodating. Switching times and washing clothes thoroughly.

Top load washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had different brands from front load to top load washers and this brand and model has been the most superior washer. This is based on its durability to its high efficiency performance. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a top load washer that want their items cleaned.

Terrible

This washing machine is garbage. Have had it less than a year. Had to replace the belt, and now the seal for the basin shaft has failed causing clanking and water leaking onto the pulley which throws black greasy liquid in a circle beneath the washing machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent bit died early

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got 6 years out of this before it gave up. Over the years it would on occasion not drain and it finally got to where it wouldn’t drain most times. When putting it in drain and spun, which was necessary after I’d failed to finish a cycle, it would some times drain and often had numerous grinding noises. The capacity and controls were good. As typical, it is an underwhelming GE that fails prematurely.

We are sorry to hear that your washer has stopped draining properly. To ensure properly draining, make sure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. You will also need to ensure the washer is not trying to drain more than 8 feet higher than the floor. The maximum height most GE Appliances full size washers will pump is 8 feet from the floor. Also, if the drain hose goes into a standpipe, drain or other household plumbing. Remove the drain hose and pour a quart of water into the standpipe or drain. If water will not drain, a plumber is recommended.

WASHER TUB SEPARATE AND AGITATION CONNECTION BROKE

I purchased this washer in 2020 and it’s now 2025 and the washer tub has disconnected from the inside and the part that connects the agitator has crumbled on the inside and separated the drum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor lifespan.

This machine was doing great until the drain pump took the bench. This is 4 yrs old, pretty bummed on the internal quality of parts. The 10yr limited warranty is for the motor.

Rusting out and controls stubborn at times

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer itself does a decent job however the bleach compartment started rusting out awhile ago and getting concerned it's going to start leaving rust on our clothes. My husband scrapped it the best he could and put appliance paint over it but it's still rusting. We
always run a dehumidifier right across from it so it really shouldn't be an issue.
Not sure what the reason is but it can be very laggy to get the different sensors to switch to a different setting sometimes.
The pullout for the soap and fabric softener constantly grows mold/mildew under the tray and in the inside behind it and regularly has to be cleaned. Can't recommend this washer

Waste of money

We’d like to address the issue you’re having with your items not getting clean. Regarding the amount of water added, the Department of Energy has updated standards regarding water usage over time, lowering the allowable amount. The wash performance will not be negatively impacted by this, as our washer uses load sensing technology to provide the optimum amount of water, agitation, etc. for the cycle. If you prefer to use more water for some cycles, this model does feature Deep Rinse and Deep Fill options.
We recommend loosely loading items around the outside of the basket. More information about what to try if clothes aren’t cleaning well is available in this article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18098
