Terrible washer

We have had trouble with this washer not spinning and not draining since we purchased it. Washer is a bit pricey for such poor performance.

To troubleshoot, we recommend straightening the drain hose and making sure the washer is not sitting on it. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Short Life

We had zero problems until we received notification our warranty was close to expiration. The day after expiration the washer started glitching. Went a little while with no problems but they have returned ten-fold. We now have no control over it washing clothes. Sometimes if we are lucky we can wash a load. It likes to decide for how long to wash the clothes and if the clothes need to soak, sometimes in the middle of a cycle. It is disappointing and sad we had to save a lot to afford these units, to find GE quality is not there anymore and now we don’t have money to repair or replace. Thank you for looking out for your not so prosperous customers.

Generally liked the washer until it stopped working. Now it won’t spin. It’ll fill up with water and the motor is making a noise just not working

Can't seem to win.

This washer has been problematic for quite awhile, it would sometimes "hang" on a cycle either before the agitation or the spin, which was annoying but it would eventually work. Now these hangups are far more frequent and it's started to leak, in addition to a loud grinding noise during the wash. Guess these machines have a 5 year life before they start to fall apart.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WORST washing machine on the planet!

Truly the worst washing machine your money can buy. I had to replace it after a couple weeks because the basket came off the track and wasn’t spinning at all. Then it happened again. Now I’m on the third one and from the beginning it has not cleaned my clothes. They actually come out dirtier than they were before putting them in the wash. How is that even possible?! All of my appliances are GE in my house. After this experience, I will never buy another GE appliance again.

Don't waste your time and money you WILL REGRET IT

I've had this washer maybe 3 years. I bought the dryer also as a combo. Well the circuit board went out on the dryer within the first yr. Thank goodness I had purchased the store warranty and it was covered. But the tech told me that they go out on these machines constantly! Well now my washer is going out. The buttons won't work at all. I can't pause my machine or start it or anything! It keeps going thru all the stain settings over and over. Eventually it will finally start but I'm sure it's going to go out completely any day! I've read numerous other reviews stating the very same issues with this washer! Don't waste your money! But a different brand!

Washer Broken Drum

Washer stopped agitating & won't spin. Took agitator off & bottom circular metal attached to shaft is all broken up. Can I send you a picture?
Washer is about 5yrs old. Can it be fixed? Looks like a new drum is needed.

Waste of Money

After coming on her and viewing the pictures, I found my exact problem. I've had my washer only 4 years and the tub gasket is totally gone. I see why GE stopped making this product but at least offer us some kind of compensation who is stuck with this junk!
