Sorry don’t buy

Not that old a washer and already not draining well, so bad clothes soaked after cycle. Try spin cycle and it continuously “balances” which gets clothes even wetter. No more GE washers..

We want to help out with your washer not spinning properly. The first thing we recommend is trying an electronic reset. This can be done by removing the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.

Additionally, we suggest checking the following article for more in-depth troubleshooting specific to top load washers: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23082

If further assistance is needed, we recommend contacting our Bodewell team to help schedule service. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

This is the worst washer I've ever owned. Constantly off balance and the fabric softener dispenser does not work and hasn't since the first time we used it!!

Great buy!

I was just a little hesitant to buy this model due to the feedback complaining about the washer being so noisy. Please! First of all, it's a MACHINE. MACHINES MAKE NOISE DEAL WITH IT!. That said, this machine is NOT excessively noisy IMHO. Yes, it does make some different sounds, but noisy? Not in my book. To me, people that complain about this machine being noisy will also complain about the tint of the white color it's painted. Another semi-prevalent complaint was how wrinkled this washer leaves clothes. I washed 3 long sleeved tshirts with my fist load and yes, they were very wrinkled after washing. I was concerned. Needlessly. Put them in my 15 year old dryer on normal dry and wa la! They came out just fine with no need for further drying or ironing or any need for any extra care. There were complaints about the water level not being high enough. Further nonsense. To begin with it has the "Deep Fill" option so you can add plenty more water. My first load consisted of 2 100% cotton long sleeve tshirts, 1 heavy 60% cotton, 40% polyester long sleeve pullover shirt, 4 pair of AND1 brand 100% polyester long men's basketball shorts, 3 pair of STARTER brand 82% polyester, 18% spandex long men's basketball shorts (raise your hand if you knew spandex was a fabric) a couple of white anklet golf socks and a pair of 100% cotton men's briefs. I let the washer determine the amount of water and while it did look somewhat low compared to what I'm used to it handled the load just fine. The washer appears to spin at around approximately 700 miles per hour in the normal spin cycle and the clothes came out fine, not still wet or too wet by any means.
So...I'd give this washer an A+ rating based on one wash. Believe me though, if I have any problem with future loads I will update this critique.

Awesome Washer!!!

I am the owner of a 14 year old, agitator, 3.2 cu Wahser which broke down on me 2 weeks ago, I wanted to replace it as soon as possible and I wanted a bigger capacity one. I was nervous and skeptical to buy a washer without the agitator due to the numerous bad reviews I had seen on them. I read reviews from all retailers, I spoke with sales people at all the major stores and after all the reading and researching I decided on this model. I must say I am completely satisfied with it! the clothes come out clean, smelling great and semi-dry!! On the really tough stains all I do is pre-treat them before the wash. I would pre-treat clothes with my old washer and I can honestly say I don't see the difference between the agitator and the non-agitator machine. The washer is not loud, I am saving on detergent, softener, water and electricity!! I ended up buying the washer and dryer set and I've gotten many compliments on them, they look awesome in my laundry room!! My best advise to all of you who research and read reviews before buying anything (like me) would be to give technology a chance, read the instructions and be open minded to change.

So far, so great!

Bought this 2 wks.ago, primarily because of all of the options, including deep fill/extra deep fill, deep rinse, extra rinse, and 5 spin intensity choices that can be selected to customize each of the 12 clothing cycles.
The concept of no agitator was off-putting to me, personally, but so far, I've tested it with large loads of sheets, a load of 3 heavy white cotton bath rugs, and several routine loads of colored, dark, and white loads and have been extremely impressed. Cleaning capability has been excellent, and the various spin speed options were helpful.
One word of helpful advice: DO read the users manual, and especially heed the correct loading instructions and the "do not mix lint generators with lint attractors" caveat.
A few pleasanat surprises were 1) the machine's automatic balancing feature. When the cotton rugs threw it out of balance as I'd expected, the machine refilled to swish the load around for several minutes (I'm assuming until it somehow sensed that the items were distributed better), then spun at the highest speed option (which I had purposely selected), smoothly balanced through to the end of the cycle. 2) The see-through lid has been more helpful than I'd expected. And 3) Maybe the best and most helpful surprise is how often in a cycle the lid is NOT locked.
To address some of the consistent complaints in the negative reviews, I didn't find it to be louder than my previous washer,.It also makes the same kind of grinding noises as it goes through all the strange machinations of the water-saving/energy-efficient technology of recent years. Our laundry room is off the kitchen behind a closed door, so none of it is an issue for us.
Bottom line, if it lasts longer than my last washer (another brand, and just 4.5 years), I will have been extremely happy with this purchase. Knowing the cost of repairs, however, we will also be buying a maintenance agreement beyond the mfr. warranty.

Excellent!!

We purchased this around a month ago. I must say it is an excellent washer. I've used it at least 3 times daily (lots of washing - 4 in family). It takes heavy loads and light loads easily and I must say it really gets all colors spotless. I love the way whites come out - BRIGHT!!! I have one son that has oil soiled clothes and they clean in this GE as if they were just purchased.

Worst washer I’ve ever owned

I’ve had this machine for 3 months and I hate it.I love to do laundry but this machine has made it a nightmare. It DOES NOT get the clothes clean. It barely puts any water in the machine. 2” is not enough to even get the clothes wet let alone clean. I do ALL my loads on bulky. At least that way they get wet and reasonably clean. Did I mention I hate this machine?
