the worst washer ever!!

clothes get all tangled without an agitator. has no spin cycle by itself and therefore blankets and heavier things come out soaked because of the balancing. it was explained that you have to arrange clothes around the perimeter and I do but it doesn't help. i bought this GE because i wanted to buy American. sorry to say it's not good. my 20 year old machine was sooo much better. a piece of tin. save your money.

The unit only ever has about 1" of water in it, nothing comes clean cloths require a 2 hour cycle to even come close, but we usually have to wash them twice. There are no energy savings when you have to do this all the time.

Doesn't get clothes clean

We bought this washer this week. No agitator=no clean clothes. My clothes comes out dirty and some of my brand new clothes have been ruined because there is not enough water when fabric softener does in. I'm not saying this is a bad washer, I'm saying HE washers with no agitators are bad washers. Clothes just sit on top with no water on them and do absolutely nothing the entire time.

Hello - this is Nancy at GE Appliances. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your new washer. This is a very nice model. We recommend that you use the “DEEP RINSE” option when using fabric softener. If you believe there is not enough water during the wash, this washer also offers the "DEEP FILL" functionality that adds more water to the wash load if desired. I hope this helps! We appreciate your feedback!

New design isn't always improve

Bought this, hoping it would be as rated, but with all the features, technology, features, all I can say is "new isn't always improve. There is nothing like the old push and pull knob system, simply washer your clothes. If you are just looking to simply have your clothes clean, do not buy,it isn't all its cracked up to be. If doesn't fill, you have keep pressing Deep fill, for a little extra water. Without the aigator I thought it would wash spreads and rugs, but it doesn't fill to, the items just sits there while the machine shakes all over.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your washer. We’re sorry for your experience and would like to provide you with a link that includes some tips we hope will help:

http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17398

Although the water level for all new washers has been lowered to meet new energy and water regulations, our units are designed to accommodate these reduced water levels and you should expect to see great wash results. Please take a look at the information, starting on page 11, from the use and care guide, to review details regarding cycle selections and loading tips:

Thank you again for your feedback.

Very Unhappy with GE and Products
on May 6, 2017

This machine does not work right. I put 2 queen sheets in and had to go into tub to unbraid the sheets. Unless you put the cycle on heavy duty, you get not enough water to even cover the clothes. The thought is that the clothes get clean by rubbing against each other. Surprise, they don't. And during the rinse, you only get sprays of water on the clothes. My clothes were tied up and wrinkled and dirty when the wash was done.
The co I bought this from is finally taking it back, after 4 months of complaining to everyone.
I have researched all washers and come to the conclusion of buying a speed queen. Not digital and fills the tub and gets clothes clean. And NO LID LOCK! Ratings on machines are based on energy efficiency and water usage. The new laws are 40 to 60% less water to clean your clothes and I am just not into that. It also wears clothes out.
Also, the unbalanced bouncing of the drum, constantly. I put in two blankets and could not get thru the cycle, due to unbalancing in the drum, and no matter what I did changing the blankets around, the cycle would not continue. I had to go to drain and spin.
What a stress filled event washing clothes turned out to be.
GE should get back to basics and make a plain machine that washes clothes with water and soap. I have a GE refrigerator, 33 yrs old and works like a dream. So it can be done.
