Horrible appliance

We have had the great washer for 6 months and have had multiple problems with the main problem is the drain cycle

Terrible machine!!

It looks lovely, very clean and modern and gets great reviews, and not a bad price. That’s why we bought it. However, it creases clothes so bad they come out looking like crumpled pieces of paper. Even things that don’t usually crease like sports tops. And it’s virtually impossible to iron out. I’ve tried every cycle on the machine and even the delicates wash creases everything. And on top of that it doesn’t properly clean you’re clothes so you have to wash everything again. And if you put it on more than a normal spin it shakes itself across the room and rips your clothes. I feel like I’ve tried everything and nothing works. Even putting tiny loads in and still comes out really creased. I wished I could fit a front load washer in the space I have as I would swap it tomorrow. To be fair to GE this is the second machine we’ve had as we had another brand before and it did the same. I think it’s a combination of top loading and HE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this washer a year ago. Reliability appears great so far. But I would not buy this machine again for one reason - it is noisy. The drive is a new design according to the dealer. The machine's motor rotates the tub ~360 in one direction. Then pauses for two seconds. And then rotates the tub 360 degrees in the opposite direction. and then it repeats this cycle. The noise is Errrr . . . Errrr . . . Errr . . . Errr . . . endlessly. The lights dim each time it goes Errrr. Perhaps if the machine was way down in the laundry room away from everything else, it would be okay. Our laundry room is right next to the dining/kitchen room. If we had known ahead of time about the noise from this new design, we would definitely not have gotten it, and would have pursued a front load machine.

Does not clean clothes. Tears clothes.

Clothes don’t come clean. Tears clothes up. Clothes very wrinkled even after drying. Clothes get very tangled and stretched.
