Good features but very noisy

I've used this washing machine for 4 months now. I like the features that this washing machine, it's very easy to use and it's a good/comfortable size for our family of 4. It cleans our clothes although I do use the 'deep fill' often bc it doesn't use much water if I don't 'deep fill'.
The main complaint with this washing machine is it's VERY loud! The noise is heard throughout the entire main level of our home which is 1500 square feet. It's so loud we can't have the television on without the subtitles during a cycle because it sounds like a plane taking off in the house, when it starts and and then at the end it's just as loud again. I cannot have a load washing when it's dinner time because it's so loud we feel like we can't enjoy any conversation. I can't do laundry if I know someone is visiting bc the noise is just too much. I wouldn't purchase this again because of the noise factor. It needs some type of insulation to help with the noise issue. My husband wanted to return it but quite honestly, I just don't have the time to research any other machine at this point. I know some reviews mentioned the noise and others said it was okay. It's definitely not okay.....much too loud! I'm disappointed!

Horrible washer

I really dislike this washer. Does not perform like I thought it should. Not having the agitation part makes it hard to get my clothes clean.

I have purchased a couple of GE washer & dryers. Never one that I have to "deep fill" plush a button to start filling the tub!!. Not sure if this is a through back from yesteryear. Sounds, reads and looks like something they did back in the 50's. I other washer filled with the height amount. This is not a new concept.
I am so disappointment there is no buzzer for the completion of the drying time. Yes, I have a "volume" button, however when is push it nothing happens. I have to go back to setting the stove timer. I'm short person, I cannot reach the clothes at the bottom of the tub. This is another idea that was not thought out. It's ok if you stand 5'6" or taller, other wise I have to purchase a grabber or a step to get the clothes out of the washer.
If I could repurchase my appliances I would not have purchase this set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poorly built washer

This washer is a lemon. The thing is always out of balance and bounces. Constantly have to rearrange clothes, especially when its a heavy load like a comforter or towels. Also makes my close look worn.

I do not like that you have to arrange the clothes around the sides since it has no agitator.

No large loads

Even one blanket throws the unit out of balance, even when evenly distributed. I like that you can deep fill the tub but this inability to wash medium to large loads without the machine slamming the wall, make it a poor choice.

Worst Washer I've Had:(

1st time purchasing a no agitator washer...GTW680BMKDG...I've given it over a year for me to transition to the change. Water does not fill enough to cover the clothes & I have washed with the deep fill activated EVERY time I use it. The load is washed abrasively like using an old fashion wash board leaving pills on most all types of fabrics. Clothes don't seem to clean very well as there is not enough water to flush out dirt. Way too much money for substandard automatic washer.
