Love the washer

I was somewhat skeptical of a washer without an agitator but decided to buy this one for the tub capacity, water usage and energy savings. I have not been disappointed. It is amazing how it cleans clothing with so much less water than my old washer!

I bought this recently and it has much more room than I had expected, I can put more clothes in it than my last washer. It gets my clothes very clean.

Overall GE is made in America!!! Which is the number one reason I purchased GE!!!
I purchased this model after trying to fit another larger GE set in my hall closet.
The washer has a distinct sound when washing. You would almost think the motor is grinding. The water level on Colors is very low it does not cover the clothes and you can not select deep fill. The cycle almost looks like it will tear your clothes apart as it washes but my clothes came out ok. I am guessing there must be something missing in the weighing of the contents, to amount of clothes in the washer to fill at a proper level. When placing the selection on Heavy the motor gets even louder. The rinse cycle is short and with no water it makes you wonder if all the soap is out of the clothes. I almost felt like I should have ran the wash twice to make sure.
The spin cycle left the clothes very wrinkled.

I then used the Heavy cylce which allows you to use Deep Fill. I added bleach for the wash cycle but could not tell when it was dispursed. After the load finished I could smell the clorox in the clothes I washed. The whites looked cleaner than with my older washer.
The matching Dryer works fine. It took out wrinkles from the Color wash cycle. I used a Low heat and Less Dry mode which worked well.
I am still trying out all the features and hopefully will find the Dryer settings to work as needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just purchased this product on 9-5-18 but it wasn’t delivered until 9-23-18. The washing machine would not start for an entire day. It powered on, let me set the cycle, and when I pushed the start button (that was flashing as if it was paused) it didn’t do anything. I tried unplugging the power, for minutes and then hours. The next morning, it was doing the same thing. Around lunch, I opened and closed the lid to power it up, pressed start, and it worked. I am in the process of getting a replacement, due to not exactly trusting this particular machine, and hope it doesn’t give me the same problems. Has anyone else experienced this?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The use of this dryer is super simple!!! and a perfect size for a family with 2 dirty kids!!! Just wish it had an agitator!

Noisy and easily off-balance

I switched to this product because it was a top loader. I was tired of the smell and off-balance performance of front loader. However, this machine becomes off-balance frequently, even with loads that shouldn't. I can usually correct the problem if I add towels (we keep some in the laundry room for just that purpose). The machine is also much noisier than front loaders.
