Machine is haunted

So I wake up to a noise last night and my GE washing machine is on and trying to spin. Now I did not put my washer on before I went to bed last night, so I try to turn the washer off and it would not go off, I unplug the washer and try again today the minute I plug the cord in, the washer starts up. When I try to turn it off or control a wash cycle no luck , it keeps flashing times and making noise. This washer has also been giving me problem with the spin cycle by not spinning the clothes dry. I have had the machine for 5 years but have used for half of that time, because of dividing time between homes I have always brought GE products but will be looking into other product. This is a Wacky machine

Like others have said this washer worked well for 2 years and then stopped balancing. Can’t do more than a 1/4 load

I bought this appliance second hand and it had been sitting in the ladies yard for months without being protected from the elements. Other than a little bit of debris and dirt being on it, you'd never know it's been horribly neglected and discarded. It runs perfectly and is so quiet and my clothes are really clean!

Not very good washer. unsatisfied

Had this washer for almost four years and probably do two-three loads a week not much in reality. So it doesn’t seem to work all the time it acts up by not allowing you to press buttons and start load and then when it does allow you to start it sometimes drains/spin and sometimes it doesn’t spin to ring out the clothes then have to go through all the hassle again to try to get it to work and spin. Also the lights on the controls start spinning and flashing while it’s in process of washing then shuts down. So I guess I see why GE discontinued this model. not very happy with GE

My GE washer experience

I’ve owned this washer 5 years and have had a water solenoid replacement and today the basket blew. The insurance has expired so let’s see how much the is will cost me or am I better off with a new one.
