Good washer, but a problem I never anticipated

Very happy with this washer, overall. Previous washer was about 15 years old, so quite a difference. I like all the features, and it was easy to figure out the different settings. Like all the options for various functions. I especially like the display of the time remaining.
The noises are a bit strange at the beginning of a wash, and the washer is fairly noisy for about 3 minutes. During the actual wash cycle, it is much quieter than the old washer.
The problem I didn't anticipate: If you are shorter than 5'6", you may have problems unloading the washer. The tub is very deep. No problem with big items like sheets, towels, but little socks, or similar, in the back of the washer are unreachable for me. Have to turn the basket to move them to the front, then stand on tiptoe. I plan to use lingerie bags for the smaller items to eliminate this issue.

This unit works great and has a lot of really good features. It appears to clean better that my old washer and uses a lot less water doing so. The only issue I have so far is the motor noise is somewhat excessive to me and my wife. It could be quieter.

Huge!!

Needed a new washing machine, husband came home with this one. It is huge, now we are going to have to get a new dryer! One load in washer is about 4 in the dryer!

love my new washer

So far I love this new GE washer & dryer set. I just had them delivered yesterday. It's hard to find washers that have a warm rinse cycle Luke this one. You can fit a large load. The deep fill and deep rinse cycle is perfect for larger loads. It also agitates the load which i didn't know when i originally picked this set. They only con i have is that the cycle time are longer than my old set but there is a quick wash setting which is around 30 minutes.

Love my new washer

my old GE Hydrowave washer broke down (still upset that I had to purchase another washer when it was only 4yrs old!!! I loved that washer) so after 3 long weeks of reading reviews and checking out washers in person (I literally drove myself insane researching washers). I made the decision to stick with GE and I'm so happy that I splurged on this washer....it's great and it is not noisy...i'm sure why some people are saying it's noisy because it's not and there is plenty of water to washer your clothes....I watched the entire sensing and fill thru the glass!! I was skeptical about the glass top but I love it!!! This washer is definitely worth the money!!!
