Truly Satisfied w/ My Purchase

Coming from a long line of front loads, this machine is a good replacement. I also purchased the matching washer. I went back to a top load washer because for me I just feel it gets the clothes cleaner and fresher because they are soaking in water and detergent rather than just spinning in a small amount of it with the HE technology and reduction of water consumption features. This particular machine doesn't have a lot of fancy bells, but it dries efficiently and in a short time. I love the glass door where I can see my laundry progress. Never have to rerun it to dry more. The cycles do what they say and the capacity is great. Plenty of space to add more stuff.
I would recommend this to a friend!

clean out / whimpy buzzer

I previously purchased the washer that goes with this dryer. I love, love, love the washer. I decided to purchase the dryer also, and had it delivered yesterday. I've washed and dried 3 loads of clothes today. Dries just fine, but with every load the dryer sheet gets caught in the corner of the clean out and I have to rip it out. Very annoying. The finished buzzer (really a little beep) is so quiet I don't hear it, which is a problem, as I like to take my clothes out immediately to avoid wrinkles. I've adjusted the "beep" as loud as it goes, but still very faint. So I now set a kitchen

Other than these two minor annoyances (low finished beep, and dryer sheet getting stuck in clean out), I really like the dryer. Easy to operate and does a good job of drying and cooling down so clothes aren't wrinkled. Its large capacity works well with the large capacity washer, so I no longer have to divide up my large loads to dry.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great dryer. My last non GE dryer I replaced the heater coil 3 times in six years. This GE model is quiet and heats up quickly. love the large load capacity. Can handle a large load of towels without issue.

After installation, we ran about 5 loads! Clothes, towels, cloth diapers, etc. performance was exceptional! Love all the features and simple interface is fool proof! I recommend this to the average family!

Save your money!

I purchased this dryer in May and by August it wasn't drying our clothes. It takes 2 hours to dry one set of queen size sheets. Doing laundry takes all day since this dryer doesn't dry our clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really like this dryer a lot. Only drawback is the buzzer to let you know when the cycle is done is so low, you would have to be standing right next to it.
