My old GE dryer started to have problem after many years and couldn't be repaired.Thought I would miss the features it had but the new one is even better.

I chose this dryer because it matched my washer. My dryer went out and this was more budget friendly. In saying that you get what you pay for. It doesn't get very hot (my old whirlpool got very hot) and it seems to take at least 20 min more than my older dryer. The lint trap cannot be cleaned (the storage area of the pull out not the pull trap). Overall it's a 3 star dryer. Im 3 weeks into using and it does its job of drying clothes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there - We are so sorry that your previous dryer stopped working and that the new one doesn't get as hot and takes a long time to dry. This sounds frustrating and we can understand your disappointment.
Firstly, the lint filter can and must be cleaned before each use. To clean, moisten your fingers and reach into the filter opening, then run your fingers across the filter. A diagram with instructions can be found on page 6 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90543-2.pdf.
Your clothes may be taking longer than usual to dry because the lint filter is full. Additional troubleshooting tips for long drying times can be found on page 10 of the owner's manual (linked above).
