GE Dryer 7.2 cubic feet Aluminum drum

GE Dryer--delivered 1-2022, works pretty good, door easy to open, easy to clean lint filter, nice classic design (I got white finish), and large aluminum drum. But settings knob (cottons, perm press) is too hard to turn, like is semi-manual knob(s) but way too many options and hard to determine how long before cycle will be done--I would have liked ALL manual knobs and NO electronics. The done signal alarm is not loud enough. Mary-FL

I have never use before the sensor cycles, just the timed one but now I have been using the sensor and I am really pleased; it works well

Hi there,
Thanks for the review on your dryer. The timer knob will be a bit stiff on a new unit but may loosen a bit as you use the dryer. Also, this model does not have a digital display so the time remaining shown on the main knob is a good way to know at a glance about how long your load has to dry.

Ergonomics needs work

Drying efficiency is okay. The door is very outdated. You have to close it several times to get to latch. The dials are equally archaic. They are stiff and difficult to move. I’d chose a different set if I were to purchase again

Glad to know that your unit is drying your clothes well. Thanks for letting us know what you think about the door design, we're always wanting to get better. If you're finding that your dryer door is not staying closed, even after you've shut it firmly, then we'd recommend checking to make sure that no clothing is stopping the door from shutting properly.

It's a dry run and a happy one

I'm very pleased with having my dryer. The only thing is that I bought all the accessories that I was told I needed and 1 part was not even connected because it wouldn't fit. So the existing vent house was used!
I would recommend this to a friend!
