Problem with ge dryer

We only had this dryer a couple of weeks. It immediately started a squeaking noise on left side of machine and the outside was hot to touch. A serviceman came out verified it was squeaking and he said it was because the outside vent could be clogged up. We completely replaced the vent. And it is still squeaking. And the machine still gets really hot. I am really afraid to use this dryer. I am hoping to return this dryer.

Simple but reliable

So after my husband fixed our dryer 4 times in the last year, we were done. He said the next time that was it, so the dryer went up and we had to go out and try to find a good deal quickly. I like the size of the drum, there's plenty of room and there aren't too many options, which sometimes is better. I'm over the high tech front loading washers and dryers. The washer comes on Monday! First day in use and I'm not disappointed. When appliances were simple they were the best. Now there is just too much that can go wrong with the fancy models that are out today. I'll take old school any day.

I have finally caved in on giving up my current GE washer/dryer that lasted 32yrs that shows quality made products from GE. New features on new washer/dryer are amazing.

I’ve had this dryer for just over a year and already the start button doesn’t work had to call for service disappointed in this product

A quality product that does the drying job well, especially considering the variety of options. The lint catcher function is probably the weakest of any dryer I have owned, and the door hinges should be on the bottom, not the side. Strong product, otherwise.

Decent appliance

My wife and I purchased this exact GE electric dryer in 2015, our warranty expired in the fall of 2021. Today Sunday April 10, 2022, I made another purchase for the same identical dryer. I can say that we have recommended both the washer & dryer to our friends and they in turn made their own purchases which would be nice if I were the salesperson.
I would recommend this to a friend!
