One Heck of a Dryer!

This dryer has so many features of a dryer that’s twice the price! It does what it is supposed to do, which is dry your clothes! I don’t have to extend the drying times because when you select the proper cycle for your clothing type, the clothes are dry when the buzzer buzzes!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm old fashioned. Not into high tech laundry machines. Chose these for the great price, old school look and feel. Still good bang for the buck!

Poor lint filter design

I purchased this dryer from a big box store for a relatively inexpensive price. Knowing this, my expectations were appropriately pragmatic. After installing it and giving a load of towels the first use, owever, I was disappointed in the poor quality and cheap thin plastic design of the lint frame. The frame does not pull easily out of the slot, and as a consequence I have had to tutor all my family members to be extremely careful pulling it out for fear of breaking it. I believe it will only be a matter of a short time before it is damaged. Also, the lint filter does not trap even half of the amount of lint that my 25-year-old dryer did that this replaced. I now have a deposit of fine lint material on my outside concrete area where my dryer vent tube daylights to the outside. The construction of the other dryer components is top-notch and we have no complaints, other than the obnoxious warning buzzer that goes off repeatedly until someone drops everything they are doing and opens the dryer door. As if a busy family must quickly attend to the end of the dryer cycle so that the all important buzzer is terminated. Well, thanks to this strange and unnecessary feature of the repeating buzzer calling out to us like mom calling in kids for dinner, we have shut the buzzer off. This seems to be an example of too many engineers and not enough consumer-minded ergonomics design professionals.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the issue with the repeated buzzer, this happens when the extended tumble is enabled. This is to remind you to remove needed clothes to reduce excess wear on them.

Simple and efficient electric dryer. Works great. Big tub can fit a lot of clothes and large blankets and towels.

It works well. I love that it holds alot at one time. However, I did have a hard time transferring the door so that it could open from the opposite side. I wanted to make it more convenient. I worked on trying to screw in the nails for over 30 minutes and they just would not go in. Bending over the door to throw in my clothes is very uncomfortable, but the size of the dryer makes up for this challenge.

My Dryer was Installed on Thursday June 9, 2022.
On Friday, I did my laundry. I went downstairs to take to clothes out of the Washing
Machine and put them in the Dry. When I came back downstairs the clothes in the
Dryer wasn't dry. I tried for second time. still not Dry. My Dryer is BROKEN (the Dryer
will not heat up at all).
I am so upset. I just brought my house 2 years ago. The people I brought the house
from put in used appliances. As you could imagine I was excited to get my new APPLIANCES, THEN I GET A BROKEN DRYER DELIVERED AND INSTALLED. I am very upset. I hope GE Customer Service will repair or replace the Dryer.

Back to basics!

I had a "heat sensor" dryer, hated it! Now I'm back to a GE PRODUCT WITH JUST the essential buttons, heat, etc., and couldn't be happier!! Sometimes less is MORE!!
