So Far So Good

High temperature setting is too hot as I ruined some bedding "getting to know" my new dryer. That is a user error, not the dryers fault. Functionality is great, quiet and efficient.

Had Maytag washer and dryer before purchasing our age washer and dryer. Maytag washer would not even hardly wet the clothes and had appliance repair check for problem and was advised that is how they work with sensors. Got fed up and purchased GE and what a difference as can finally get our clothes washed to our satisfaction. Very happy with a 5 star review.

Easy to use and quiet

Really appreciate the large, good old-fashioned dial. Much easier than all those confusing buttons. The 10 minute timer is great for touch-ups; unlike the 20 minute minimum on some more expensive dryers. Very quiet.

I purchased this to replace a Fisher Paykel with had aged out. As with other GE appliances I have purchased, it lives up to its reviews.

I am so pleased with the new GE dryer. It has settings that are appropriate for whatever clothing items. It dries my clothes in much less time than my old dryer.

This dryer is very basic and could use more insulation to be quieter. Even with proper ventilation it is taking 2 hours to dry clothes so I believe the ventilation system needs an additional exhaust fan to help vent this dryer better for it to dry clothes faster. If I figure out that out to dry clothes faster this will be a great dryer for the price!

Possible causes for clothes taking too long to dry can be improper sorting, large loads of heavy fabrics, improperly set controls, full lint filter, overloading, underloading, or a blown fuse/tripped circuit breaker.
