Worthless POC

I purchased this dryer in September, despite the bad reviews I had read. Since then it has been down 5 times, including the entire month of December and, since then, twice more. Several fuses and 2 motors have been replaced and it still continues to malfunction. One reason I purchased this machine was because it had a label on it that stated that most of the parts were manufactured in the USA. I don't know which part is breaking but it seems to be the same one so whoever manufactured it needs to work on this. BTW, I live alone and wash 2 loads twice a month. If you do the math, this dryer is worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good; but...

I bought this to replace my earlier GE dryer that quit working because the timer stopped working. The replacement is quite nice; but, it doesn't dry clothes as well as the previous model it replaced. The replacement parts and repair trip would have cost almost as much as the new dryer. I hope that the timer on this one lasts more than the two years I had my previous GE dryer. l

I purchased this dryer because I had it at my old house, and it was great! We built a new house, so it was a no brainer what to buy. Very pleased and I've already recommended it to my daughter!

My previous washer stopped working so we bought both a washer and dryer. This is the first time we have purchased a GE brand but we are extremely pleased with both the washer and dryer.
