takes longer to dry than my old one. takes on average 50 min to dry cottons.

While we are delighted you are pleased with the appearance and features offered on this unit, we are sorry to hear you feel the dryer takes longer to dry your clothes compared to your previous model. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or frustration this situation has caused you. It is very difficult to determine how long a particular load should take as the size of the load and the fabric type will cause your dry times to vary.
We recommend checking the vent hose on the back of the dryer as well as your vent cap on the outside of your home for any restriction or blockage that could cause long dry times.
If you continue to have concerns, please call 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment with a GE Appliances service technician to have the dryer checked. We do appreciate your continued loyalty to our brand. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

I replaced the knob 5 times before I sent the horrible product to the dump. GE doesn’t make a lasting product any longer

Purchased GE Because of Past Dependability

I have used my new appliances only once, but because of past performance, I know I made a good choice. I did look at other brands, but was surprised some had no light when the dryer door is opened. The dryer dried my load of clothes perfectly. And I do appreciate having more drying selections!
